Ordering

First, thank you for making the decision to order a vintage saw or related product. We work hard to make sure that you receive the best possible product. We hand pick our inventory and sharpen our saws in-house to ensure quality.

Order Confirmation Begin your order by simple clicking on the "Add to Shopping Cart!" button located beneath each saw or other item available for sale on our site. When you are finished shopping, return the the cart page and fill in your shipping address and other information. Please provide your United Parcel Service (UPS) shipping address....this is very important. UPS delivers to your street address...not post office boxes. Any special requests can be noted in the comments field. If you wish to hear from us concerning promotions and new items that have been posted, check the dialog box provided. Making sure that your email address is correct, hit the submit order button. A copy of your order will be mailed to you and to us.

When we receive your order, we will verify that the item is in stock (even we get behind updating the site sometimes) and send you a confirmation email. Please do not send payment until you hear back from us. In most cases you will receive a note from us within 24 hours. Once you hear from us, you are invited to painlessly pay for your item using PayPal. This is the quickest way to pay for your order. If you prefer, checks and money orders cheerfully accepted.

Shipping We ship our products via UPS or FEDEX ground. Unlike the Post Office, UPS and FEDEX packages come insured for $100 standard. Once your order is shipped, you will recieve an automated email from UPS or FEDEX which will include your tracking number and a link to check on the status of your package. Our standard mode of shipping is UPS Ground which ensures delivery to most US locations in 2-5 business days. We can accommodate faster shipment, when requested. Please enter a note in the comments field of your order for a faster shipment rate quote. For each saw ordered domestically, a $8 shipping charge is automatically added to your order total. Saw vices and odd shaped items require special packaging and have a different standard rate.

International customers should complete the process above, and we will contact you about your shipping cost in our confirmation email. We have shipped saws and saw filing supplies to customers on 6 of the 7 continents (no Antarctic Sawyers yet!) and are confident that we can meet your needs.

Payment Due to the wonders of web technology, you now have two choices when ordering from us. The normal, snail mail method of writing a check out and mailing it can be done by sending your good check or money order to:

Peter Taran

9165 Ledgemont Drive

Broadview Heights, OH 44147

Make your check or money order out to "Peter Taran". We strive to ship our orders as soon as possible, but sharpening saws and boxing them up generally takes 5 business days. If you pay by check this is about the time it takes your check to clear. Orders for files, books and other tools not requiring sharpening generally ship in 2-3 days. We appreciate your patience while we carefully prepare your order.

As an alternative, we are a proud member of the PayPal online service. PayPal is a quick and easy way to pay for goods and services online. To find out about PayPal, click the banner below and you will go right to a page to open an account. All that is required is a credit card number, an email address and a mailing address. It is painless, safe via their secure server and has your money to me in minutes allowing instant shipment. PayPal is widely used on Ebay and other online auction services. To pay for an item, the amount is charged to your credit card instantly, and no service charge is added to your bill. It is just like paying via a regular credit card. What's more, once you are signed up, you can send money to others. Just think, no more waiting for days to get your merchandise on Ebay when you win an auction. No more spending $.85 at the Post Office for a money order. Sound to good to be true? It's not. The service makes money by the small amount of interest it collects for the time that it holds your money in the transaction. Individually it's not very much, but collectively it adds up to quite a bit. Use PayPal, it is the way of the future:

If you already have an active PayPal account, information on where to send payment will be included in your order confirmation.
